Clay powder is one of my favorite things to use in my skin care routine & in some of my DIY recipes. I have been using calcium bentonite for years but had not had very much chance to use sodium bentonite so I was excited to be given the opportunity to review this item & provide my personal favorite uses & my opinion,
Right away I noticed how very similar to the clay I normally use this Indian Healing Clay is, so no issues using it as the consistency is the same. It comes in a tub in powder form & this clay is for external use only, but the fact it is not edible does not mean it has only a few uses. The number one use of course is as a face mask & the ratio is 3 parts water to 1 part clay for general use. And I loved how my face felt after doing just that simple mask. But I also liked doing the mask with some activated charcoal added, or instead of using water mixing in a oil like argan oil.
I like the use the clay on more than just my face, I like to use it on as much of my skin as possible for a spa like treatment, it does wonders on feet, give it a try. I also really like using the mask under my arms to detox my underarms. But I also used the clay in my DIY powder deodorant & in DIY shampooing (no poo). do you have a wound, rash, burn, hives, sting, bite or whatever, apply the clay mask & helps sooth & heal. Each & every use I love it, I can see the difference between calcium bentonite & sodium bentonite, though the differences are mild I am so glad to now have both to use in my DIY recipes separate & together. This clay is very soothing, healing, age defying, hydrating & detoxing to my skin & I will be continuing to use it.
